At the last minute yesterday, we found out that my high school baseball team was playing Alpharetta High School in the playoffs. MB and I didn't want to miss out so we took off and made it there by the second inning. She did great and loved all of the rowdy folks. The gold can was filled with some of the loudest things I have ever heard and it seemed like each one of my hometown folks had one, it was so lawd as MB likes to say. I am lucky that they didn't offer her one until the end of the game because she LOVED shaking it and it was right by my ear! It was a very dramatic and exciting game. We almost saw some fights until they brought in the police and most of their high school fans dressed as rednecks to insult our team (it could have been seniors dress in camo day at school, but I doubt it). I have never seen that much camo and cut off shorts in Atlanta in the nine years total that I have lived here! For you city folks, please know that South GA people take sports very seriously and do not back down lightly from your jaunts and bad sportsmanship. I was kind of hoping that one of the moms would have taken out one of the 17 year old students like she threatened, it would have been hilarious and she was totally capable! MB loved all the drama and couldn't take her eyes off of everything going on around her. The great news is that they won and are moving on to the semi-finals next week and playing Parkview. Good luck Packers!
