THREE!

We moved the week that MB turned three and although things were hectic (huge understatement), we wanted to take some time to celebrate our girl! We didn't have a big party.  It was immediate family plus Cheryl the nanny and it was the most relaxed party ever!  It's an undertaking to have a party at your house three days after you move but fortunately, we had amazing help getting settled in and the house was in pretty good shape by the day of the party.  Ordering pizza is the way to go, so easy!  I have several more posts about how we celebrated but wanted to get this one out since it's already a month later.  MB, we love you more than words and are so thankful that you are our little girl.  You are smart, funny, compassionate, persistent and you always keep us on our toes.  Happy, happy birthday!

We started a birthday tradition this year with putting streamers on her door.  They were a HUGE hit and we kept them up all week.

She actually woke up really early on her birthday.  We would of had a shot at her going back to sleep but she opened her door and saw the streamers and HB sign and that was all it took to get her wired.

Gettin twisty.  My friend Merran made her fun shirt, she loved it!!!

Streamer headband and birthday lap.  She had the best time at her "party".

She had a blast opening the presents.  She is funny though because she got to a point where she didn't really want to open anymore.  We saved a couple for the next day.  She was so sweet and said thank you after every gift and didn't rush through it.  She loved being surrounded by the people who love her so much.  I can honestly say that she enjoyed this party so much from start to finish.

When I asked MB what kind of cake she wanted, she said she wanted a mermaid with a princess and a castle.  I had no idea that she even knew what a mermaid was and she isn't super into princesses either.  I thought it was a strange request but she was consistent and would say this every time I asked her about the cake.  I found out later, cousin Sadie wanted a very similar cake so I guess the girls had discussed it at some point, too funny!  Publix makes an Arial cake so that was a good start.  I bought the Cinderella at the dollar store but for the life of me, I couldn't find a castle.  With the craziness of the move, I didn't have time to order anything online so I just left it off and figured she wouldn't notice.  I was so wrong.  She is a smart one and that was the first thing she said, "there's the mermaid, the princess, and....hey, where my castle?"  Hilarious.

I tried to do some decorations to make it a little special for her.  She is easy to please and enjoyed all the fuss being for her.

The cake was a hit!

Playing with the Arial pieces from the cake, she still loves to play with them.

Mandatory family birthday picture in front of the HB sign.  This is the third year for this sign.  I currently am working on one for Ben since he has a big milestone right around the corner.  Lots to celebrate!
